Somewhere after the flight from Egypt and before the fall of Jericho is the story of a man who would create the greatest piece of art known to man. The symbol of Judaism that would unite a wandering band of freed slaves into a nation. To this day his work continues to be the stuff of legend inspiring books, movies, and wild searches for its present location, but his name has been all but lost to the modern Christian. Who was this man and what does he have to teach us?
In this seminar, Emily Underwood-King helps us rediscover the artist who gave us the Ark of the Covenant. Emily examines how his life and work serve as an example of the power of art to shape our world view and influence our understanding of God. In this study, Emily explains importance of the artist's role in the Church today and the role of the Church in the life and work of the artist. This intriguing teaching challenges our presumptions about art, revelation, and inspiration while encouraging all Christians to pursue their God given talents and abilities.
