Laurie West

We are excited to introduce the new Christian singer/songwriter, Laurie West. Laurie has translated her life experience into songs that inspire and encourage all who have wrestled with issues of identity and purpose. Her music is a celebration of finding one's unique position in the Kingdom and the joy of embracing God's giftings. Her songs portray the insight of one who has faced the world apart from God and experienced the wonder of rediscovering Him.

From a young age Laurie sang and played piano in the church where her brother led music. While she loved the traditional hymns, Laurie was desperate to play something else, something new. After a troubled marriage and divorce, she began singing again in Karaoke bars but soon realized that her life was falling apart. Acknowledging her failures in life, Laurie began to earnestly seek God's purpose in her life. While participating in a Christian recovery group, she was asked to lead worship and found the music she had craved as girl.

During this time Laurie met and married Bill West who encouraged her to create her own songs. For her birthday Bill gave Laurie her first guitar, and soon she was writing the music that expressed her joy in a God who can restore the most broken of lives.

In a word, Laurie's music is authentic -an authentic expression of her heart, the Father's heart, and the hearts of all who desire to stand in His presence.
